Good morning!
It's been quite a week for royal-watching hasn't it? And you'll be pleased to hear that there's more to come.
The King and Queen are set to appear for the penultimate day of Royal Ascot.
Thursday saw quite a big royal turnout in the carriage procession, so we'll be keeping our eyes peeled to see who is in attendance today.
Elsewhere, the Princess Royal will be visiting a hospice in Scotland and the Duke of Edinburgh will be travelling to Brussels.
Across the pond, it's an exciting day for the Duchess of Sussex as she prepares to restock her As Ever products, along with some new ones to be announced.
Stay up to date with all the latest goings-on throughout the day.
Meghan's big day is here
Meghan Markle’s big day has arrived, her lifestyle brand, As Ever, is finally releasing its highly anticipated summer drop at 4pm UK time. This comes months after her debut collection sold out within the first hour. We’re eager to see what she has in store this time. Will you be buying anything? I have to confess, I picked up a bottle of jam from the last release and still haven’t tried it. I think it’s time to finally open it this weekend!
New podcast episode today!
A brand new episode of A Right Royal Podcast is out today, and our guest is the lovely Hannah Furness, royal editor at The Telegraph! Hannah recently spent a full day with Prince William, getting a behind-the-scenes look at his work with the Duchy of Cornwall. More recently, she joined our own royal editor, Emily Nash, for a fabulous day at Royal Ascot.
This week, we’re diving into the Princess of Wales’s absence from the races, as well as covering Garter Day, Trooping the Colour, and so much more!
Emma Grede's thoughts on podcast with Meghan Markle
Emma Grede has shared her thoughts on her recent podcast episode with Meghan Markle, and it's clear the conversation left a mark.
She says on Instagram: "I knew this would be a good conversation, but I didn't expect how much clarity, conviction, and genuine wisdom @meghan brought to the table. She's not just building a brand. She's building with purpose, precision, and heart."
Emma also shared five key takeaways from their talk:
🕰️ Someone else's urgency is not my urgency
🧭 Own the vision, share the work
💬 Make your message unmistakable
❤️ Protect what matters most
🍓 Success starts small
She called them "a blueprint for building boldly, and doing it on your own terms."
I'm loving Ascot this year!
Usually, I'm just happy with the photos - curtsies, dramatic expressions (a bit like the ones the royals pull at Wimbledon!). But this year, things feel different. The royals seem more relaxed, and I'm loving all the kisses!
Yesterday, we got a sweet moment between Peter Phillips and Harriet Sperling. But when I was scrolling through the photo agencies this morning... look what I found: Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi sharing a kiss!
Happy birthday Duchess of Gloucester!
The Royal Family have wished a very happy birthday to the Duchess of Gloucester, who turns 79 years old today!
Born in Denmark and married to the Queen's cousin, the Duke of Gloucester, Her Royal Highness has quietly dedicated decades to public service. As a full-time working royal, she supports over 60 charities and organisations, with a focus on the arts, education, and health. She also holds honorary military appointments and regularly represents the Crown at official events in the UK and abroad.
A loyal and hardworking presence within the Royal Family - wishing the Duchess a joyful birthday and continued good health!
Name tags at Ascot
There was some discussion over on our Instagram this week when we shared a photo of Princess Anne at Ascot - name tag clearly on show.
Many argued she didn't need one (she is Princess Anne, after all!), but fun fact: all royals wear name tags, except the King and Queen.
The late Queen never wore one, and now King Charles and Queen Camilla follow suit.
Because when you're the King… no intro needed
No more sleeps - Meghan says
It’s midnight in Los Angeles, but Meghan Markle isn't sleeping — she’s counting down the final hours before her summer drop goes live.
The Duchess of Sussex posted a message reading "no more sleeps" on social media, marking the end of several days of teasing the launch. Clearly, the excitement is real - and sleep isn't on the schedule tonight.
Meghan's latest project has been building anticipation for days, and her late-night post suggests she’s just as eager for the reveal as her followers. The official launch is now just hours away.
A new episode of Guardians Is out - see what Prince William has said
In Sri Lanka, rangers are risking their lives to protect endangered elephants and reduce conflict with local communities.
This week's Guardians episode follows Chinthaka and his team as they rescue injured animals, fit GPS collars, and gather vital data to support peaceful coexistence.
The Prince praised their efforts, calling it "a powerful example of conservation in action."

Big first for Prince Christian of Denmark
This morning, a significant State Council meeting took place at Christiansborg Castle, presided over by King Frederik. For the first time since last year’s change of the throne, His Royal Highness the Crown Prince took his permanent seat as the official heir in the council, which includes all government ministers.
During the meeting, the Crown Prince signed a declaration under Article 8 of the Constitution, affirming his commitment to uphold the Constitution. Although he signed a similar declaration shortly after his 18th birthday last November, this reaffirmation reflects his new status as heir to the throne.
